OUR WINES VINEYARDS
APPELLATION: Chalone
One word says it all - limestone. This calcareous rock is more prevalent in California's Chalone appellation than in any other appellation in the new world. For centuries, wine lovers have crowned the limestone rich Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of France's Burgundy region as the best examples of these varietals in the world. Chalone Appellation wines give the best of both worlds, new world California fruit-forward richness married to layers of old-world, limestone influenced minerality. Wines from this appellation are also renowned for their ability to improve with medium to long term aging. Testarossa's has been making wine from this region since 1994, these wines age amazingly well, some for 10 years or more.
